1. Who operates this service
Pixel Art Base is an independently operated website and the controller responsible for this service. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at contact@pixelartbase.com.
2. Your images stay in your browser
Images you choose are decoded, converted and exported locally in your browser. We do not upload your source images, filenames, pixel data, conversion settings or downloaded results to our servers.
Closing or refreshing the page clears the current conversion unless your browser independently retains temporary data.
3. Information we may process
Website and security logs
Our hosting provider may process technical request data such as your IP address, browser or user-agent information, requested pages, timestamps and security events. This information is used to deliver the site, maintain reliability and prevent abuse.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage, such as visitor and session counts, approximate location, device and browser information, page views and interactions. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish users and sessions.
We do not send your uploaded image, filename or generated artwork to Google Analytics. We also do not intentionally send names, email addresses or other directly identifying information through Analytics.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to understand how the site appears in Google Search, including aggregate impressions, clicks, page performance and search queries. Google omits some queries from reports to protect user privacy.
4. Cookies and consent
Strictly necessary storage may be used to operate security or remember privacy choices. Google Analytics is not loaded until you choose “Allow analytics.” We store that choice in your browser for 180 days so the site does not repeatedly ask you.
You can use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer at any time to allow or decline analytics. Declining analytics does not prevent you from converting or downloading pixel art.
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not prevent you from converting or downloading pixel art.
5. Why we use this information
- Provide, secure and troubleshoot the website.
- Understand which pages and features are useful.
- Measure search performance and improve content.
- Detect abuse and protect the service.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
6. Service providers and international processing
We may share limited technical or analytics data with providers that help us host, secure and measure the service, including our hosting provider and Google. These providers may process information in countries other than your own under their own legal safeguards and contractual commitments.
Google’s handling of Analytics data is described in its Privacy Policy and Analytics data safeguards.
7. Retention
We retain technical and analytics information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, subject to provider settings, security needs and legal obligations. Your source images and generated results are not retained by us.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data protection authority. Contact us to make a request.
You can opt out of Google Analytics across supported websites using Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
9. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the issue.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
